Domestic Travel in China – In rare cases, domestic flights may be delayed or canceled. If that happens, we’ll travel by train instead, which could mean a longer travel day. Flexibility and a good sense of humor are key!
Chinese Local Food (L.B.D. – Local, Basic, Delicious!) – Expect authentic Chinese meals daily — tasty, local, and sometimes a little adventurous. If you enjoy trying new dishes and embracing local flavors, you’ll fit right in!

Day 3 (Sat, 8/30): Welcoming Day (L.D)
Arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the vibrant capital of Mongolia. Transfer to the city center and check in to your hotel. Explore the Chinggis Khaan Museum and Sukhbaatar Square, followed by an evening of traditional Mongolian art and music performance. Conclude the day with a welcome dinner to celebrate the start of your journey.

Day 4 (Sun, 8/31): Travel to Tsagaan Suvarga (B.L.D)Travel to Tsagaan Suvarga, a stunning area featuring 30-meter-high white limestone cliffs sculpted over thousands of years by natural winds. Enjoy a scenic hike around this remarkable geological wonder.

Day 5 (Mon, 9/1): Travel to Yol valley & hiking (B.L.D)In the morning, drive to Yol Valley (Lammergeier’s Gorge), a picturesque canyon nestled between the stunning peaks of the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains and home to a rich variety of wildlife. Visit the Gobi Museum, and then enjoy a 2–3 hour hike through the valley, taking in the dramatic landscapes and natural beauty.

Day 6 (Tue, 9/2): Travel to Khongor Sand Dunes (B.L.D) Travel to Khongor Sand Dunes, famously known as the Singing Dunes. Rising up to 300 meters high, stretching 15 km wide and 180 km long, these vast dunes offer breathtaking views from the top. In the evening, enjoy a one-hour camel ride across the golden sands, taking in the desert’s serene beauty.

Day 7 (Wed, 9/3): Travel to Bayanzag (B.L.D) Continue your journey to Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs), home to the unique saksaul forests of the Gobi Desert and the striking red cliffs shaped over thousands of years by wind and erosion. This is the legendary homeland of dinosaurs, dating back 70 million years, and internationally renowned for its fossil discoveries, including complete skeletons, eggs, and hatchlings from the Cretaceous Period. Take a walk through the Flaming Cliffs, immersing yourself in this extraordinary prehistoric landscape.

Day 8 (Thu, 9/4): Travel to Baga Gazriin Chuluu (B.L.D) In the morning, travel to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a picturesque granite mountain rising to 1,751 meters in Mongolia’s Granite Belt. Along the way, enjoy lunch at a local eatery, savoring authentic flavors of the region.

Day 9 (Fri, 9/5): Travel to Ulaanbaatar (B.L.D) In the morning, travel back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy some shopping for local souvenirs and handicrafts, followed by a farewell dinner to celebrate the conclusion of your Mongolian adventure.

Day 10 (Sat, 9/6): Ulaanbaatar to Wuyuan, China (B.D) After breakfast transfer to airport for our next destination, Hangzhou, China.
Welcome to Wuyuan – often called China’s most beautiful countryside! Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local tour guide holding a sign with your name. A comfortable, non-smoking vehicle with an experienced driver will then transfer you directly to your hotel in Wuyuan County, where your guide will assist with check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure to begin exploring this charming countryside at your own pace.

Day 11 (Sun, 9/7): Wuyuan East Route (B.L.D)
After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel for a full day of exploring Wuyuan’s charming villages. Begin with Jiangwan Village, a national 5A-level tourist attraction and an ancient village rich in Huizhou culture. Wander through its narrow cobblestone streets and soak in the elegance and charm of a bygone era.
Next, visit Huangling Village, perched on the edge of a mountain cliff. Spring (March–April) brings a sea of rapeseed flowers, while autumn (September–November) is perfect for enjoying the colorful Shai Qiu scenery. Continue to Likeng Village, known for its bridges over flowing streams and tranquil ambiance. Stroll along the waterways, admire traditional Huizhou-style houses, and enjoy the peaceful, idyllic setting.
Conclude the day in Wunvzhou, an enchanting resort blending modern and traditional Huizhou architecture. The village celebrates the legendary tale of the Wunü (Wuyuan Woman) soaring to the heavens, woven into its attractions. Optional experiences include the live-action performance “Encounter Wuyuan” (extra cost), fireworks displays, and spectacular molten iron throwing shows—immersing you in the vibrant local culture.
Return to your accommodation for a restful night, preparing for the adventures of the next day.

Day 12 (Mon, 9/8): Wuyuan North Route – Wangxian Valley (B.L.D)
After breakfast, visit Sixi Village and Yan Village, each with a history of over 800 years. These villages preserve 136 ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing Dynasties, primarily merchant houses and official residences. Paved with green stone slabs and surrounded by lush fields, they are perfect for a leisurely stroll through history and nature.
Next, proceed to Rainbow Bridge, the oldest covered bridge in China, built during the Southern Song Dynasty. Comprising six pavilions and five corridors with a total length of 140 meters, the bridge impresses with its ingenious design and timeless beauty.
In the afternoon, drive approximately 2 hours to Wangxian Valley in Shangrao, Jiangxi Province. Check in to your hotel in the ancient town, and enjoy free time to relax or explore the valley. As twilight descends, the canyon transforms into a celestial wonderland, with lights mirroring the starry sky above, creating a truly magical evening ambiance.

Day 13 (Tue, 9/9): Wangxian Valley – Lushan Mountain (B.L.D)
Today, try to rise early to avoid the tourist crowds. After breakfast, embark on a journey to Wangxian Valley, where natural beauty and cultural heritage come together. Once an abandoned mine site, this valley is often described as a real-life fantasy world. It offers a profound experience blending stunning landscapes, human heritage, and legendary tales, inviting visitors to step into a living story where every corner is a verse, every view a painting, and every moment a celebration of nature, culture, and myth.
A highlight of the visit is walking along the cliffside plank roads to reach the White Crane Cliff, where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley below.
After lunch, transfer approximately 4.5 hours to Lushan Mountain. Renowned for its grandeur, steep cliffs, and breathtaking scenery, Mount Lu is part of Lushan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996.

Day 14 (Wed, 9/10): Mount Lu & West Route Touring (B.L.D)
Today, begin your Mount Lu tour with a stroll along the Flower Path, which skirts the edge of the western cliffs and offers marvelous views over Jinxiu Valley. Next, visit Ruqin Lake, named for its violin-like shape. Continue to the Imperial Stele Pavilion, built by a Ming Emperor in the 14th century to commemorate a meeting with an immortal Taoist. Afterwards, explore the rainbow-like Lulin Bridge and the mirror-like Lulin Lake, creating a truly dreamlike setting.
Spend some time at Black Dragon Pool, where five streams plunge over a massive rock into a crystal-clear pool, said to be home to a dark dragon. Continue to the Three Precious Trees, two cryptomerias and a ginkgo, believed to have been planted by the Buddhist monk Tan Xi 1,500 years ago.
Conclude the day at Guling Street, the central street of Mount Lu. Meandering pathways, fragrant flowers, flourishing trees, and elegant pavilions create a lively and enchanting atmosphere, making it a delightful place to explore.

Day 15 (Thu, 9/11): Eastern Route Hiking – Flight to Xiamen (B.L.D)
Start your morning by climbing over 3,000 steps to reach the Three Tiled Waterfall, a site celebrated by ancient poets for its beauty and elegance. Next, visit the Lushan Botanical Garden, China’s first scientific botanical garden, to marvel at the abundance and diversity of plant species. Continue to Hanpo Pass, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Five Old Men Peak to the north and Poyang Lake to the east.
Afterward, transfer to your next destination, marking the conclusion of your Mount Lu adventure.

Day 16 (Fri, 9/12): Nanjing & Yongding Tulou (B.L.D)After breakfast, drive approximately 2 hours to Nanjing County. Begin your exploration with the Tianluokeng Tulou Cluster, including the historic Yuchang Building and the charming Taxia Village, showcasing the unique earthen architecture of the Hakka people. Continue to the Yongding Gaobei Tulou Cluster, home to the famous Chengqi Building, the largest and most impressive tulou in the region. After a day of discovering these remarkable structures, return to Xiamen for your overnight stay.

Day 17 (Sat, 9/13): Gulangyu Island Half-Day Tour (B)
Take a ferry to Gulangyu Island, a charming, car-free island. Explore the Eight Diagrams Building (Organ Museum), Shuzhuang Garden, and Haoyue Park, soaking in the island’s cultural and natural beauty. For those interested, an optional hike to Sunlight Rock offers panoramic views of Xiamen and the surrounding coastline. Return by ferry to Xiamen before 2pm, leaving the rest of the day free for leisure to explore the city at your own pace. You may choose to:
Take a leisurely stroll along Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, where beautiful old arcade buildings blend Chinese, Western, and South Asian styles, and savor some of the city’s popular local foods.
Enjoy a scenic walk or bike ride along Huandao Road, with its pleasant seascapes, soft beaches, and palm groves. The sunset views here are especially romantic.
Wander around Egret Isle Park (Bailuzhou Park), immersing yourself in its sparkling lakes, verdant forests, diverse birdlife, and the slow-paced life of local residents.
