The Gift of Traveling Together

Today I received a letter from Paul, one of the “original five” travelers who joined me many years ago and who has since become a very dear friend.
In his letter he wrote something that touched my heart deeply. I would like to share his words exactly as he wrote them:
“…There is something I want to tell you, perhaps again, perhaps this time you can put my words in your favorite smoothie and drink it and believe it forever…I loved every single one of our trips.
I absolutely loved all the trips that I took with you from when we first met going to Vietnam…You chose and you choose such great spots to visit, wonderful hotels, World Heritage sites, and other amazing experiences. You did and you do such a great job, and I am deeply happy that I went on every single one of our trips. Just for the sake of the trips themselves. I have hundreds of amazing photos and many special energetic memories… millions of moments.”
Reading his words moved me more than I expected.
Because what Paul described is exactly what I have always hoped to create through our travel community — not just trips, but meaningful experiences and memories that stay with us long after we return home.
Traveling the world is something many people dream about. We imagine seeing distant landscapes, ancient temples, beautiful cultures, and places we have only seen in photographs.
But often, those dreams remain dreams.
Sometimes we hesitate because of fear or uncertainty. Sometimes the logistics feel overwhelming — planning routes, booking hotels, figuring out transportation, wondering where to eat or what to do next. And before we realize it, time quietly passes.
When I was young, my father often took our family traveling. Everything was thoughtfully arranged, and I remember the feeling of ease — the excitement of discovering new places together without worrying about the details. Those experiences left a deep impression on me.
Perhaps that is part of what inspired me to create International Travel Lovers.
I wanted to bring that same sense of ease, discovery, and shared joy to others — to create journeys where people can simply be present, experience the world, and enjoy the adventure together.
To those who have not yet traveled with us, I welcome you with open arms.
And to those who have trusted us enough to return again and again, I offer my heartfelt gratitude. Your openness, curiosity, and willingness to step into the unknown are what make these journeys so special.
If there is a moment from one of our trips that has stayed with you — a memory, a photograph, or a small magical moment along the way — I would love to hear about it. Please feel free to share it here.
Because in the end, it is these shared memories that truly make the journey meaningful, and that's the gift of traveling together!
