ITINERARY DETAILS:

Day 1–2 (Fri, Feb 5 – Sat, Feb 6): LAX → Buenos Aires: Crossing Hemispheres

Overnight international flight to Argentina.

The journey begins quietly, somewhere between departure gates and anticipation.


Leaving Los Angeles behind, we cross into the southern hemisphere—toward a land shaped by wind, silence, and vast distances.


Day 2 (Sat, Feb 6): Arrival in Buenos Aires: Where Rhythm Lives (D)

Upon arrival in Buenos Aires, transfer to your hotel and enjoy a short rest before beginning our exploration of Argentina’s vibrant capital, often called the “Paris of South America.”

Our guided city tour includes:

  • La Boca – colorful streets and artistic heritage

  • San Telmo – historic district with colonial charm

  • Plaza de Mayo – site of key historical events, including the May Revolution

  • Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral

  • Recoleta – elegant neighborhood and its famous cemetery, resting place of Eva Perón


In the evening, enjoy a traditional tango dinner show at El Querandí, located in the historic San Telmo district. This iconic venue presents the evolution of tango through music, dance, and costume. In a dimly lit hall, dancers move with precision and longing. Music rises, pauses, and pulls you in. It is not just performance—it is memory, desire, and history woven together.

Day 3 (Sun, Feb 7): Buenos Aires → Ushuaia: To the End of the World (B)

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world, located in Tierra del Fuego. The landscape shifts. The air sharpens. Mountains rise, and the sea feels closer. Here, the world begins to feel quieter.

Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time.

Day 4 (Mon, Feb 8): Tierra del Fuego National Park: Where Forest Meets Sea (B, P, D)

Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park, where the Andes meet the sea. In Tierra del Fuego National Park, the land feels untouched, almost primordial.

We walk through forests that stretch toward the water, where the Andes soften into coastline.The trail leads us to Lapataia Bay, where the road ends—and where, for a moment, it feels like the continent does too.

Wind moves through everything here. Trees, water, sky. You begin to notice how small you are—and how peaceful that can feel.


Highlights:

  • Scenic drive along National Route 3

  • Views of the Beagle Channel

  • Trekking through forests, valleys, and coastal landscapes

  • Visit Lapataia Bay, meaning “bay of good wood” in the Yámana language

Return to Ushuaia in the afternoon.

Day 5 (Tue, Feb 9): Beagle Channel & Penguin Cruise (B, D)

We sail into the Beagle Channel, where the horizon opens wide.

Sea lions rest on rocky islands. Birds circle overhead. A lighthouse stands against the elements, steady and solitary.

Further out, we encounter penguins—quiet, distant, completely at home in this remote place.

The boat moves gently through the water, and time seems to stretch.

  • Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse

  • Views of Argentina and Chile coastlines

Continue to Martillo Island to observe Magellanic and Gentoo penguins (from the boat).

Day 6 (Wed, Feb 10): Ushuaia → El Calafate → El Chaltén: Into Patagonia (B, D)

We fly north to El Calafate, then onward to El Chaltén—a small town held in the shadow of mountains, and Argentina’s trekking capital at the base of Mount Fitz Roy.

The road feels endless.

Steppe, sky, and the sense of entering somewhere wild and uncontained.

By the time we arrive, the peaks of Fitz Roy appear—sharp, distant, almost unreal.

Day 7 (Thu, Feb 11): Trek to Laguna de los Tres: The Path to Fitz Roy (B, P, D)

Full-day guided trek to Laguna de los Tres, one of Patagonia’s most iconic viewpoints.

We begin early.

The trail to Laguna de los Tres is long and demanding, winding through forests and open valleys. With each step, the mountain draws closer.

The final ascent is steep, testing both body and breath. And then—suddenly—the view opens.

Fitz Roy stands before us, reflected in a glacial lake.

Silent. Immovable. Vast.

No photograph quite captures it.You don’t speak much here. You just stand and take it in.

  • Duration: 8–9 hours

  • Difficulty: Moderate to challenging


Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Fitz Roy and surrounding glaciers.

Another spectacular trek to Laguna Torre, with views of the dramatic Cerro Torre.

The path to Laguna Torre feels gentler, more contemplative. Forests, rivers, and long stretches where only the sound of footsteps remains.

At the end, Cerro Torre rises—jagged and severe, often veiled by clouds.

It feels less triumphant, more introspective.

Day 10 (Sun, Feb 14): Perito Moreno Glacier & Mayo Spirit Trek: Ice That Moves (B, P, D)

At Perito Moreno Glacier, the scale is difficult to comprehend.

Walls of ice stretch across the landscape—blue, white, and constantly shifting.

You hear it before you see it fully. Cracks, groans, sudden thunder as ice breaks and falls into the water.

It is alive in its own way—slow, powerful, and indifferent to time.

Day 11 (Mon, Feb 15): El Calafate → Puerto Natales: Crossing into Chile (B, D)

We cross into Chile, arriving in Puerto Natales, gateway to Torres del Paine.

There is a sense that the journey is building toward something.

Day 12 (Tue, Feb 16): Base Torres Trek: The Towers (B, P, D)

The hike to Base Las Torres is demanding from the start.

By the final stretch, the path turns rocky and steep.

And then, at the top—the reward.

Three granite towers rise straight into the sky, reflected in a glacial lagoon.

Raw. Striking. Unforgettable.

You feel the effort it took to get here. And somehow, that makes it more meaningful.

Trek into the scenic French Valley, part of the famous W Trek.

We cross Lake Pehoé and enter the French Valley, surrounded by peaks and hanging glaciers.

The landscape feels enclosed here, almost like a hidden amphitheater of stone and ice.

At times, you hear avalanches in the distance—reminders that this place is always in motion.

We approach it by foot and by boat, drawing closer to its immense, fractured surface.
